Category: AWAY FROM HOME

I love to get away from home as I got bitten by the travel bug years ago when I was lucky enough to visit India and Nepal for a month as a teenager. It was a completely thrilling experience. I got to ride elephants, swim with crocodiles and help to fit radio collars to tigers! Since then, I’ve never looked back and have travelled widely and adventurouslye. I even spent months back-packing around Egypt by myself.

Here’s where I write about all about my travel adventures and where I share the all of the secret and special places I find. It’s also where I share my tips and tricks for making single parent travel fun, even if you’re travelling on the tightest of tight budgets. I share the mistakes I make too! I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures.

Weekend Harrogate – what is there to do with a reluctant teen? I was sorely tempted to batten down the hatches, curl up on the sofa with a packet of chocolate digestives and watch a pile of DVDs, but I definitely needed some fresh air and so did the boy. I’m a firm believer that children are like…
